His Royal Majesty Oba Timothy Oluwole Sunday Mosaku, the Olu of Arigbajo in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State is dead.
Oba Mosaku died at the age of 89, his family confirmed in a statement released on Friday.
Announcing his burial rites, the Mosaku family said a wake-keeping service would take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at his residence, Olu of Arigbajo palace by 5 pm.
According to his family, the interment service is fixed for Friday, September 26, at St. John’s Anglican Church, Arigbajo, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State at 11 am.
The late Oba was a son of Egunleti Mosaku and he rose within the traditional hierarchy of Arigbajo.
In 2001, Oba Mosaku became the Otun Baale of Arigbajo and was elevated to Baale in 2008 and in 2010.
He was formally gazetted by the Ogun State Government as the Oba of Arigbajo with his coronation and installation carried out by the Alake of Egbaland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
Schooled at the United District Central Primary School, Arigbajo, and Secondary Modern School, Abeokuta Oba Mosaku attended the Government Trade Centre, Ijebu-Ode, and the Institute of Management, where he earned a Master’s degree in Journalism.
He also worked with Vono Foam Products for 12 years and rose to become the union president ascending the throne.
