President Bola Tinubu has sent a special birthday message to congratulate FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on his 58th birthday, marked on December 13.
In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu lauded Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, for a life characterised by purpose, courage and dedicated public service.
The President described Wike as “an audacious top performer who defies obstacles and delivers results,” highlighting his significant contributions to the transformation of the Federal Capital Territory through an ambitious infrastructure renewal agenda.
Tinubu specifically commended the minister’s recent intervention that resolved a 14-year stalemate in the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road.
He praised Wike’s resilience, “can-do attitude and commitment to excellence in all assignments,” thanking him for consistently delivering impactful projects and reforms.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet — an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before, proving that his moniker ‘Mr Project’ extends beyond his home state of Rivers,” the President said.
“I commend him for being a champion of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even as he belongs to another party, and I wish him continued strength and fulfilment as he celebrates another year of life.”
President Tinubu also wished the minister good health, renewed energy, and greater accomplishments as he continues to serve the nation in his role as FCT Minister.
