Just In: Terrorists Attack Adamawa Governor’s Home Town, Kill Ex Councillor, Abduct Sons

The Kirchinga community in the Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, the home village of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, was attacked by terrorists on Monday.

The attack resulted in the murder of a former local councillor and the abduction of his two children.

The victim, Hon. Thlama Sini, who previously represented Kirchinga Ward, was seized late at night along with his two sons during the invasion.

Local sources confirmed that the assailants subsequently killed Mr. Sini while retreating with the boys. The incident has intensified fears and shock in the community, which has a history of struggling with sporadic terrorist attacks.

Family sources told SaharaReporters that the terrorists stormed Sini’s residence and ordered him to accompany them into the forest with his children.

”He told them he was diabetic and hypertensive and could not make the journey into the forest, and instead asked them to name their price,” a family source said.

The sources added that the attackers refused to negotiate, forcibly marched Sini to the outskirts of the village, and shot him dead before fleeing with his two sons.

As of the time of reporting, authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the attack, and the search for the abducted children is ongoing.
