WATCH THE VIDEO HERE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of new members to the governing councils of three federal universities. The institutions are the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (NAU). The development follows the dissolution of UNIABUJA’s governing council and the controversial removal of former Vice-Chancellor Aisha Maikudi in February. The appointments were confirmed in a statement issued on May 27, 2025, by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
