President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Dick Schoof, from the State House in Abuja.
The call was disclosed by Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, who did not disclose the specific issues discussed between the two leaders.
Since assuming office in May 2023, President Tinubu has pursued an active foreign engagement agenda, visiting about 36 countries across Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. According to the presidency, these diplomatic efforts have attracted over $50 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Nigeria within two years.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaye, noted in June that the trips had strengthened Nigeria’s international partnerships.
Destinations have included the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, China, India, Saudi Arabia, and the Netherlands, among others.
