JUST IN: VP Shettima briefs Tinubu before he departs for Turkey [VIDEO]

Vice President, Kashim Shettima on Monday, January 26, briefed President Bola Tinubu on details of his participation at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The vice president met with the president shortly before he departed from Abuja for Turkiye.

According to Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the meeting between the president and his vice held at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, Abuja.

He said, “Vice President Kashim Shettima briefed President Bola Tinubu on Monday on his participation at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, just moments before the President departed for a state visit to Turkiye.”

Recall that Shettima returned to Abuja on January 24, after a week-long diplomatic and economic mission to Guinea-Conakry and Switzerland.

One of the key remarks made by the vice president during these visits is that Nigeria is ready and committed to reclaiming a frontline seat in global and regional economic policies and conversations.

Shettima who represented Tinubu at the 56th WEF also commissioned the Nigeria House Davos, Nigeria’s first-ever sovereign pavilion on the Davos Promenade.

The facility was designed as a permanent investment hub that showcases pertinent opportunities in solid minerals, agriculture and the digital economy.
