Two weeks ago, actor Braxton Wells set the internet ablaze after tagging both Donald Trump and the Department of Justice in a social media post accusing Tyler Perry of looking the other way while abuse allegedly happened at his own studios. According to Braxton, he was harassed and even “trafficked” by a high-level executive at Tyler Perry Studios — serious claims with serious implications.
But now? The whole thing seems to be falling apart.
Braxton has returned to social media to let his followers know that the DOJ has officially rejected his case. And if that wasn’t enough of a red flag, he also revealed that Gloria Allred — yes, that Gloria Allred — declined to take him on as a client.
Whew.
If you know anything about Gloria Allred, you know she does not shy away from controversial, high-stakes cases — especially those involving celebrities and abuse allegations. So if even she gave this a pass? Let’s just say… that speaks volumes.
While Braxton hasn’t backed down from his story, the lack of legal support (and now, credibility) is making people question what’s really going on here. Is this a genuine call for justice? Or a PR stunt that backfired hard?
