It Ends With Us star Justin Baldoni has filed a massive lawsuit against Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for civil extortion, defamation, and more.
The lawsuit comes after Lively sued the actor for sexual harassment, retaliation, and more. She claims the actor launched a smear campaign to make her look back during the movie rollout.
In Lively’s lawsuit, she shared text messages seeming to show Baldoni being inappropriate on set. Baldoni clapped back with receipts, seemingly proving that Lively intentionally misrepresented the messages.
Lively also says that he improvised intimate scenes, which made her extremely uncomfortable.
“While Lively now takes issue with any innocuous improvisation Baldoni, as Ryle, may have allegedly initiated while in character, Baldoni treated their relationship on camera as professional; each playing their part, each doing their job,” the lawsuit reads. “If no one was supposed to improvise, Baldoni would have no way of knowing based on Lively’s own actions. Lively demonstrated, again and again, that this was a normal and acceptable part of filming romantic scenes.”
Baldoni alleges Lively of antagonizing him, his family and colleagues and is requesting a jury trial and a judgment of $400 million.
