Juventus have stepped up their pursuit of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, with a formal bid in the works as they look to make the Napoli forward their marquee signing for the 2025/26 campaign, Soccernet.ng reports.

According to reports in Italy, the Bianconeri are readying an offer worth around €85 million — including add-ons — to tempt Napoli into selling their prized asset.

The Serie A giants view Osimhen as a potential replacement should Dusan Vlahovic or Randal Kolo Muani leave the club in the coming months.

Osimhen last summer renewed his contract with Napoli before being loaned to Galatasaray, where he has scored an astonishing 33 goals in 37 matches for the Turkish club. The new deal for the former African Footballer of the Year includes a €75m release clause, but crucially, it only applies to foreign clubs.

That means Juventus would need to enter direct negotiations with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis — a potentially tense encounter given the past friction between De Laurentiis and Juve’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, who previously worked at Napoli.

Despite those tensions, Juve remain determined to bring Osimhen to Turin. The Nigerian striker, who commands an annual salary of €11m net, is reportedly unwilling to take a pay cut — which could complicate talks.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian interest in Osimhen continues to grow. Al-Hilal, backed by the powerful PIF fund that controls the top four Saudi clubs, are said to be preparing a staggering €100 million package that includes Cameroonian midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa.

Napoli would receive €75 million for Osimhen and €25 million for Anguissa, who is under contract until 2027 and has already signalled his willingness to make the move.

Al-Hilal are reportedly prepared to offer Osimhen a salary of €30–35 million per year, which would place him among the highest-paid players in the world. A reunion with former Napoli teammate Kalidou Koulibaly could also sweeten the deal.

Should their Osimhen pursuit fall short, Juventus are considering Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman as a strong alternative. The Nigerian winger is valued at €50 million, and Juventus have already made initial enquiries to gauge Atalanta’s stance.

With interest heating up from all angles, the race for Osimhen’s signature looks set to be one of the summer’s defining transfer battles.
