The Governor made this promise during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction and upgrading of Zaria township roads. Governor Sani’s administration has initiated over 78 road projects across the state, demonstrating its dedication to improving infrastructure and connecting local communities. The Governor emphasized that these projects are progressing well, with contractors adequately funded to meet project deadlines. The Zaria township roads project, which includes the construction and upgrading of roads from Magajiya Junction to Kasuwan Amaru, is expected to serve a significant population of Zaria city, predominantly the urban poor. Upon completion, the project will create job opportunities, improve commercial activities, and enhance security in the city and its surroundings. The Governor also highlighted his administration’s Rural Transformation Programme, aimed at promoting accelerated development by extending infrastructure to all local government areas. This initiative supports communities in achieving rapid economic growth, addressing infrastructure deficits, curbing rural-urban migration, and improving the quality of life for the people of Kaduna State. The Chairman of Zaria local government, Engr Jamil Ahmad, and the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, commended Governor Sani for his administration’s developmental projects, pledging their support for his administration.
