The Kano State Government has cautioned supporters of Governor Abba Yusuf against making inflammatory remarks or insulting the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, warning that offenders will face disciplinary action.
Naijaonpoint reports that the warning was issued on Saturday by the Director‑General of Media and Publicity, Government House, Kano, Bature Tofa, during a motorcycle distribution event for residents at the Open Space Theatre, Government House.

Tofa emphasised that the government will not tolerate indiscipline or disrespect directed at Kwankwaso, whom he described as a political leader whose contributions to state politics remain significant, regardless of recent political shifts.
“We will not accept indiscipline or insults against the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Anybody who engages in such behaviour will face the consequences. We will not accept it,” Tofa declared.
The media director urged supporters of Governor Yusuf to exercise restraint and maturity, especially in the face of heightened political tensions following recent realignments in the state’s political landscape.

According to him, sustaining peace and unity demands that political disagreements do not degenerate into personal attacks or abusive conduct.
The warning comes amid ongoing debates and reactions surrounding Governor Yusuf’s resignation from the NNPP, a development that has sparked mixed responses within the Kwankwasiyya Movement and among residents of Kano State.
