Kano Pillars’ seasoned captain, Rabiu Ali, has appealed to the club’s supporters, urging them to continue their unwavering support throughout the season, regardless of the difficulties the team may face.

In a thrilling moment during their NPFL match against Bendel Insurance on Saturday, Ali scored the only goal that propelled Kano Pillars to a hard-fought 1-0 away victory in Benin City. This crucial win not only secured three points for the team but also showcased their resilience amid challenges.

Following the match, the veteran midfielder expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the team’s fans, describing their support during the game as nothing short of overwhelming.

“We thank God for the victory, and the support from our fans was overwhelming,” Ali remarked in a post-match interview. “It felt like we were playing right here in Kano, with our fans lifting our spirits.”

He acknowledged the importance of the fans’ prayers and encouragement as they look ahead to their upcoming match at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

“As we prepare for our next match, I urge all our supporters to stand by us and accept whatever results we achieve,” he added. “Football is a game of fluctuating fortunes—sometimes we win, other times we draw, and occasionally we lose. We must embrace all outcomes as true champions and loyal fans.”

Meanwhile, Nasarawa United’s defender, Victor Collins, has voiced his optimism about the team’s prospects as they strive to return to their winning ways this weekend.

After suffering a disappointing defeat against Rangers in Enugu last weekend, the Solid Miners are gearing up to host Kwara United at the Lafia City Stadium at 4 p.m. later today, November 10.

Collins is resolute in his belief that the team can secure victory in their matchday 11 encounter, saying, “Yes, I’m hopeful that we are going to bounce back to winning ways against Kwara United.”

However, he also noted the challenges ahead, emphasizing, “It is not going to be an easy game at all because Kwara United is a formidable side. Even though they lost their last match against Akwa United, we know that every game is different. We have been diligently training hard in preparation for this crucial match, and we are ready to fight for the win.”
