Katsina Gov, Radda Reveals The Only Person Buhari Said Can Satisfy Nigerians

Dikko Radda 1

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has disclosed he was fortunate to interact with the late Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, after his exit from office in 2023.

Naijaonpoint recalls that Buhari, who died in London on Sunday, July 13,2025, was buried on Tuesday, in Daura, Katsina State with full military honours.

Addressing journalists on the sidelines of Buhari’s burial Radda disclosed some of his conversations with Buhari while he was alive.

Radda recounted that during one of their conversations, Buhari informed him that only God can satisfy Nigerians and advised him to do his best as a leader.

He said, “After he left office in 2023, he spent about two years in Daura, Katsina. In that period, I was fortunate to interact with him more frequently, discussing national issues. He was a jovial person who often made me laugh.

“He always told me, ‘Your Excellency, go and do your best and be honest as a leader. You cannot satisfy Nigerians; only God can do that.’

“He said he suffered a lot, but now he sees himself as a free man with a sense of relief.”

Meanwhile, the body of the late former president, Muhammadu Buhari, was flown to  Nigeria in the main cabin of a Nigerian Air Force jet as opposed to the usual practice of placing caskets in an aircraft’s cargo.

According to Punch, the casket was placed in the cabin because it could not fit into the aircraft’s cargo compartment.

Rather than resorting to a body bag that would fit into the hold, handlers resolved to transport the casket in the aircraft’s cabin.

To achieve this, the front seats in the cabin were collapsed, and tables unfolded to create a bed-like platform on which the casket could be securely and respectfully laid.
