The Katsina State Government has declared today a work-free day to allow residents welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is in the state on a working visit.

Governor Umaru Dikko Radda made the announcement yesterday during his address at the May Day celebration held in the state capital.

During the visit, the president will meet with key stakeholders to assess the security situation in the state.

He will commission the Katsina Agricultural Mechanized Centre and a 24KM dual carriageway completed by Governor Radda.

President Tinubu will also honour an invitation to attend the wedding of the governor’s daughter before returning to Abuja.

Katsina Commissioner for Information and Culture, Bala Salisu Zango, said the President is expected to inaugurate two out of the numerous projects executed by Governor Dikko Radda-led administration.

According to him: ”The projects billed for inauguration include the Katsina State Agricultural Mechanisation Centre alongside Eastern Bypass, which stretched from Dutsin-ma Road, through Kano and Daura road, and terminated at Yandaki, in the Kaita Local Government Area of the state.

”The visit would be an opportunity for the state to discuss some of its challenges, especially insecurity with the President.”
