The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has announced a revised deadline for the registration of prospective pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj.

Naijaonpoint reports that the new registration deadline is set for February 5, 2025, following modifications implemented by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

In a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday, the Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruk Aliyu Yaro (Jagaban Gwandu), indicated that NAHCON’s adjustments require state Pilgrims Welfare Boards and Agencies to submit all collected funds by February 1, 2025, which necessitated the alteration of the registration deadline.

Additionally, the statement noted that over 60% of this year’s Hajj allocation has already been processed since the registration began in September 2024, leaving only 40% yet to be completed.

The statement encouraged prospective pilgrims to utilize the remaining time to make their deposits prior to the new deadline to secure their participation in the forthcoming Hajj.

“Intending pilgrims are required to make a deposit of Eight Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N8,400,000.00) only via a bank draft from any commercial bank, payable to the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.

“The registration will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, adhering to the principle of fairness in service delivery,” the statement noted.

The announcement further indicated that prospective pilgrims who had previously submitted deposits but were unable to attend previous Hajj sessions are required to increase their payments to meet the minimum deposit requirement by the deadline of February 5th in order to confirm their reservations.

Additionally, it highlighted the agency’s dedication to enhancing services for registered intending pilgrims, assuring that new measures will be introduced to improve the overall Hajj experience.
