Another day-one release is arriving on Xbox Game Pass, merely days after a brand-new title was added to the catalog. The subscription service’s structure recently changed, with the introduction of tiers and new prices for members. Even so, it continues to receive new games. One such example is the recent addition of Ball x Pit on Xbox Game Pass, which is a day-one entry.
Now, a new title is being added to the subscription service’s catalog. Starting on October 17, Keeper will be available on Xbox Game Pass as a day-one title. The announcement was made earlier this month on Xbox Wire, but now you can get ready for its arrival and take on this new puzzle-adventure game created by Lee Petty and Double Fine Productions, depending on your subscription tier.
Keeper Is A Day-One Release On Xbox Game Pass
The Game Is Available For Xbox Series X/S, PC, & Cloud
Keeper is a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass in October, but to gain access to it, you’ll have to be a Game Pass Ultimate or a PC Game Pass member. If you’re a Standard or Essential tier member, you’ll need to upgrade your subscription to gain access to the new game. The new game will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud gaming.
Because Double Fine Productions is a first-party developer within Xbox Game Studios, Keeper is also considered a first-party title for the company. As such, it’s very unlikely that it will be removed from the catalog any time soon, as first-party games tend to be permanently available in the service after they are added.
Keeper Is A New Game From The Creative Minds Behind Psychonauts 2
The Puzzle-Adventure Game Is Created By Double Fine Productions & Lee Petty
While there may not be a sense of urgency to play the game because of its permanent availability in the Xbox Game Pass catalog, I do recommend checking out the new title. Keeper is a new game from Lee Petty and Double Fine Productions, which is the studio responsible for the award-nominated and award-winning Psychonauts 2.
Keeper is a new puzzle-adventure game in which you control a sentient and recently awakened lighthouse, which is accompanied by a spiritual bird. Your goal will be to explore a mysterious and magical land while using the power of the light and your bird companion to progress.
This will be one of those games in which the narrative develops through experience rather than dialogue. Keeper is being marketed as a tale of “unlikely companionship,” given the relationship between the sentient lighthouse and the bird. If you’ve enjoyed Double Fine’s previous games and take on magical worlds, Keeper is expected to be another great entry – and if you’re an Xbox Game Pass member, you may get to play it on day one.
