Kelechi Iheanacho’s agent, Roger Wittman, has clarified that Egyptian football club Al Ahly has not reached out regarding a potential winter transfer for the Nigerian forward.

Iheanacho has been the subject of speculation linking him to the multiple-time African champions, but Wittman has firmly stated, “No one from Egypt has contacted us to talk about the footballer, so, therefore the news is completely false,” as reported by AS.

Since joining Sevilla, Iheanacho, 28, has faced challenges securing consistent playing time, having notched neither goals nor assists in his nine league appearances for the Rojiblancos.

In other news, Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo is advocating for the club to consider signing his former teammate Casemiro from Manchester United. The players enjoyed successful spells together at Real Madrid and Man United.

As Ronaldo’s future at Al-Nassr remains in question—with his lucrative £177 million-per-year contract set to expire this summer—he is emphasizing the need for stronger team reinforcements.

Al-Nassr is open to retaining Ronaldo but reports from Marca indicate that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is keen on enhancing the squad to better compete against rivals Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal for the Saudi Pro League title.

Among the players Ronaldo is interested in is Casemiro, who made a significant move from Real Madrid to Manchester United for £70 million in 2022.

He is likely to leave Manchester United this year as the Premier League giants are reportedly looking to alleviate Casemiro’s £350,000-a-week salary from their wage bill to allocate resources for strengthening manager Ruben Amorim’s squad.

However, the potential for the 32-year-old Brazilian midfielder to join Al-Nassr remains to be seen.
