Controversial media personality Kemi Olunloyo has publicly disowned her family name and distanced herself from her late father, Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, the former Governor of Oyo State. Dr. Olunloyo passed away on April 6 at 89.

In a series of emotional posts and videos on Facebook and TikTok, Kemi revealed a troubled past with her father, describing him as “two different people” – one persona for the public and another for the family. She alleged emotional and physical torture during her childhood and claimed her father destroyed the family unit.

Kemi also made shocking allegations about her father’s involvement in occult practices until later in life when he became born again. This revelation was reportedly made during his 80th birthday celebration.

A significant source of conflict within the family, according to Kemi, stemmed from her father’s relationship with Aderonke Omololu Olunloyo, whom he met during his 1983 governorship campaign and later married. This union allegedly triggered a rift in the family, particularly after Aderonke became pregnant, devastating Kemi’s mother.

Kemi stated she has forgiven her father but will not accept condolences over his death, emphasizing her detachment from the Olunloyo family. This public declaration comes after she announced in 2024 that she would never return to Nigeria, even if her parents passed away.
