Veteran music executive Kevin Liles has issued a strong denial to Media Take Out, in response to the sexual assault lawsuit filed against him, calling the allegations “outrageous” and “slanderous.”

Liles, who has spent nearly four decades in the music industry, addressed the lawsuit in a statement, saying he was blindsided by the claims. According to him, neither he nor his legal team were aware of the suit before it was leaked to media outlets and gossip blogs, even before it was officially filed in court.

“I absolutely deny the outrageous claims reported in the press this evening,” Liles stated. “I wish I could share a more detailed response to this slander, but this is the first I’ve heard of this claim. The anonymous accuser’s attorney shared the lawsuit with gossip influencers and media outlets before it was even posted by the court, so my attorneys and I have not seen the actual lawsuit.”

In his response, Liles defended his reputation, emphasizing that he has always operated with integrity and respect in his career. He pointed to his history of empowering women and contributing positively to the culture and community.

“After nearly 40 years of service to our culture, I’ve intentionally built a reputation for doing things the right way, treating people the right way, and empowering women,” he continued. “It is a shameful reality that these lies spread so freely.”

Liles made it clear that he plans to fight the lawsuit aggressively, stating that once he clears his name, he will pursue legal consequences against the accuser and her attorney.

“My attorneys and I will fully clear my name, and when we are successful, this anonymous accuser and her attorney will face a defamation lawsuit and every other available legal consequence,” he warned.

This is not the first time Liles has been named in a high-profile legal case. In 2023, he was sued in a $25 million sexual assault lawsuit involving singer Trey Songz, whom he managed. That case was settled out of court in 2024.

Now, with serious allegations resurfacing against him, Liles is fighting to protect his name and legacy in an industry where allegations of power abuse have rocked some of the biggest figures in entertainment.

Despite the legal battle ahead, Liles insists that the lawsuit will not derail his mission to continue serving his community and staying focused on his faith.

“These allegations will not derail my mission to be of service to our community, and focus on the greater good and greater God,” he concluded.

As the lawsuit unfolds, the industry and the public will be watching closely to see how this high-stakes case develops.
