Kim Kardashian and her momager, Kris Jenner, have filed a lawsuit against R&B singer Ray J for defamation after he claimed he was helping the feds build a RICO case against them.
According to the lawsuit, Ray J has leveraged the family’s fame to advance his own career ever since a “fleeting relationship” with Kim that ended 20 years ago.
“Ray J’s public statements are blatantly false,” the lawsuit reads. “No such federal investigation exists… Ray J’s conduct represents an egregious abuse of social media and public platforms to weaponize lies about nonexistent criminal investigations while fully aware that such allegations, even when baseless, carry the power to damage Plaintiffs’ livelihoods and hard-earned reputations.”
On livestream earlier this month, Ray J told viewers: “The federal RICO I’m about to drop on Kris and Kim is about to be crazy… the feds is coming. There’s nothing I can do about it. It’s worse than Diddy.”

He continued, “I’m talking about, I’m on the news every day. I’m gonna say a lot of s–-t. Anybody that is cool with Kim, they need to tell her now, the feds is coming. There’s nothing I can do about it.”
The Kardashians are seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages due to the damage to their reputations caused by his comments.
