Yak and Maranda welcomed their first child, a daughter named Queen Yuri Kapri, in 2021. After a brief split, the couple had their second child, a son, born in 2023. Maranda currently stars in Netflix’s W.A.G.s to Riches reality series, where she frequently speaks on their turbulent relationship.
The legal filing comes on the heels of a recent brawl between two of the rapper’s baby’s mother at a party for one of the kids. The video footage, captured by TMZ, showed that one of Yak’s baby’s mother tried to fight him at least three times before her brother stepped in, but other sources say the rapper left before things got out of control. A police report taken at the scene notes that officers did speak with a man who was bleeding from his head, but he was reluctant to give them more information. Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, told the outlet that “the rapper already financially supports all of his children and has visitation with all his kids.”
