Nigerian singer Korede Bello has shared an inspiring message with his fans on the true essence of life, emphasising meaningful contribution over mere longevity.
In a recent episode of his Wellness Wednesday series, the “Godwin” hitmaker noted that while many people pray for long life, the real focus should be on living purposefully and leaving a lasting impact.
According to him, neither the universe nor God is primarily concerned with the number of years we spend on earth, but rather with the value we bring during our time here.“It’s not enough to live long,” Korede said.
“What truly matters is that you live well. The cells in our bodies, the neurons in our brains, the organs — everything is working to keep us alive just long enough to do something good, to contribute to the ecosystem of life.”
He further reminded his audience that some of history’s most influential figures had relatively short lifespans, yet left indelible marks on the world.
Citing examples, he referenced Alexander the Great, who died at 32 after conquering much of the known world, and Jesus Christ, whose impact continues to resonate centuries later despite his brief life on earth.
