Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan is celebrating his daughter, Eyiyemi, as she turns 20 today, September 11th.
Sharing photos of himself and the celebrant on his Instagram page, he called her his child as he rained prayers on her. Kunle prayed that he would not weep over her, she would grow and prosper, and God would give her wisdom and understanding.
He welcomed her to the 20s club and affirmed his love for his princess.
“Omo mi Eyiyemi!
Mo gbaa ladura pe, mi o ni fi oju sunkun e, waa dagba, waa s’orire.
Eledumare a fun e ni ogbon ati oye.

Some of his colleagues took to his comment section to send birthday wishes to her.

Bimpe Akintunde wrote, “Ase Edumare
Biola Bayo wrote, “Happy birthday to daddy’s princess
Real Ade Herself wrote, “God bless daddy and his little princess”.
In March, Kunle had taken pride in Eyiyemi, whom he called Princess Omowunmi. He noted that though she was still a work in progress, he was proud of her achievements so far.
Taking to his comment section, Eyiyemi appreciated her father for her upbringing.
Last year, Kunle caused drama on the internet with his ‘inappropriate’ dance moves with his daughter, Eyiyemi, at the premiere of Anikulapo; The Rise of the Spectre.
Reacting to it, Kunle shared a video of him listening to Phyno’s song, ‘Do I’, indirectly meaning that he doesn’t care about the backlash. He declared that he was a King and the child of the most High, so his critics can only try.
His daughter, Eyiyemi Afolayan who was unbothered, re-echoed his words.
