The 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has assured his supporters of his continued commitment to making decisions that would advance their collective interests.
In a statement issued on Monday, the former Kano State governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement expressed appreciation to his supporters, with particular commendation for what he described as the movement’s “social media family.”
“I extend my deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to our vibrant social media family, loyal supporters, and all well-wishers who continue to stand firmly by our noble cause,” the statement read.
Kwankwaso lauded his followers for their resilience and dedication to the ideals of the Kwankwasiyya movement, stressing that their patience amid challenges would shape its future.
“Your unwavering dedication to the timeless ideals of Kwankwasiyya—service, integrity, and people-centred progress—together with your remarkable patience amid every challenge and tribulation, is the very foundation upon which the promising future of our movement is being built,” he said.
He further reassured supporters of his resolve to prioritise their welfare, particularly that of young people.
“Rest assured, we shall remain steadfast in our duty to serve, making decisions that uplift and benefit our entire people, with special focus and priority on our loyal youth,” Kwankwaso added.
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the NNPP chieftain has hinted at the possibility of entering into an alliance with either the ruling All Progressives Congress or the African Democratic Congress.
Reports indicate that Kwankwaso is currently holding talks with leaders of the ADC and may soon make his political position known in the coming days.
