WATCH THE VIDEO HERE THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 120 individuals in Lagos over alleged involvement in internet fraud. In a statement released on the Commission’s official X (formerly Twitter) account today, the EFCC revealed that operatives from its Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 executed a coordinated raid across several locations in the state. During the operation, authorities recovered 26 high-end vehicles, as well as luxury jewelry, smartphones, laptops, and various documents believed to be linked to cybercrime activities. Of those arrested, 95 are men and 25 are women. The Commission stated that the arrests followed actionable intelligence and extended surveillance on the suspects’ activities. All individuals are currently under investigation and will face charges in court upon the completion of inquiries.
