ONE person died and five others were rescued today from the wreckage of a collapsed mosque in Mushin’s Papa Ajao district, Lagos State.

According to Femi Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the mosque on Yusuf Street, Off Ladipo Road, Papa Ajao, fell during prayer.

He stated that search and rescue activities were being conducted under his supervision.

According to the LASEMA permanent secretary, additional emergency responders on the scene were the police, Lagos State Ambulance Service, and Lagos State Fire Service.
