It is a rewarding time for Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Mo Bimpe, as their movie Lisabi bagged 10 nominations at AMVCA.

Kemi Filani reported on Sunday that the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) organizers had released their list of nominations, and Lateef’s 2024 movie Lisabi had bagged 10 nominations.

The movie was nominated for Best Indigenous Language West Africa, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Sound Design, Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.

His wife, Mo Bimpe, reacting to the news, shared a video on her Twitter page of her, her husband and their crew members in worship. The couple appreciated their Maker for the huge feat.

Mo Bimpe, in her Twitter caption, appreciated AMVCA organisers for the nominations.

“What a pleasant birthday gift! Thank you, AMVCA, for the nominations, and thank you, Africa. Lisabi to the world!!”.

Lateef has undoubtedly come so far in his career, and now, the actor is getting recognition for his talent.

In 2024, Lateef made his first delve into the world of filmmaking with the premiere of Lisabi. Lisabi is a film that celebrates the legacy of Lisabi, a legendary Egbaland warrior.

The film received many accolades and recognitions from movie lovers and had even returned to the top 10 movies spot on Netflix in December, last year. He appreciated his wife, Mo Bimpe, for the support as well as his production company, as he promised he wouldn’t disappoint the public.

His wife, Mo Bimpe had expressed excitement as Lisabi ranked top ten most searched movies in 2024. Bimpe noted how data don’t lie and expressed how glad she was that when people talk about filmmaking in 2024, they are among them.

Following the success of Lisabi, the actor and his wife had released Lisabi sequel which ranked on the list of 2024’s most searched Nigerian films.
