Law Student Reacts to 7-Year Jail Term for Men Who Pick Second Wives (Video)

A female law student has expressed her joy after she discovered what the law prescribes for men who got married via a civil ceremony but still go ahead to pick second wives.

In a video that has now gone viral, the young lady said she just attended her family law class where her lecturer told her and her colleagues that under the law, any man who gets married in court and still goes ahead to pick a second wife is liable to seven years imprisonment.

The young lady, who couldn’t hide her excitement at this discovery, however, mentioned that as a practising Muslim, having a court wedding would prevent her from having an Islamic wedding. She, however, stated that when she gets to that bridge, she will cross it.
