Layzie Bone Gives Finesse2Tymes a Reality Check After Clearance Fee Rant

maxresdefault 2

Layzie Bone and Finesse2Tymes are trading disses after a disagreement over the cost to clear Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s classic collaboration with The Notorious B.I.G., “Notorious Thugs.”

The tension began when Finesse2Tymes claimed his label told him it would cost $40,000 to clear the song for a freestyle he recorded last year. Venting on Instagram, the Memphis rapper wrote, “$15 to $25k cool, but $40k? Naw, y’all gotta see me.”

He added that he had never been “extorted” in his career and shared a clip of his freestyle over the track.

Layzie Bone quickly responded, saying the group does not control the song’s rights. “Bad Boy owns that record, not Bone Thugs,” he wrote, firing back on the accusation and slamming Finesse’s tone.

Layzie also offered advice about staying power in the industry, telling him, “If you want longevity in this business like Bone, slow down and get a team to help you navigate it. We too old for drama.”

Finesse did not take kindly to the message. On TikTok Live, he questioned the group’s current relevance and suggested Layzie was using his name for attention.
