Lead British International School in Gwarinpa, Abuja has been shut down over an allegation of bullying.
Naijaonpoint learned that this was announced at a press briefing attended by parents in the school premises on Tuesday.
It was also gathered that the school would be closed for three days pending the outcome of the investigation of the allegation.
The decision followed the visit of the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, to the school.
In a video seen by our correspondent, the minister during the visit condemned the bullying incident and promised to get justice for the victim.
The minister also asked the school management to address the cases of bullying in the institution and provide support for students who have been bullied before.

It was earlier reported that there is an outrage on social media following the alleged bullying of a female student of the school.
An X user, @mooyeeeeeee, in an SOS post accompanied by two videos on Monday night, is seeking justice for the female student and to stop bullying in society.
“There’s a video I’m about to post. I need you guys to help me get justice for (sic). She was bullied in her school by her classmates at Lead British School, Abuja. Pls make it go viral so she can get justice,” ... read.
In the horrifying clips, the victim was seen being slapped repeatedly by another female student while asking “Who broke my heart?”
In another video, the victim was seen sitting next to a male classmate who was heard saying, “I spoilt her relationship”.
It was gathered that the video of the assault was shared on Snapchat by the bullies to embarrass the victim.

Meanwhile, the management of the school has condemned the incident of bullying in the institution.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Head of Abuja School, Abraham Ogunkambi said the school management is taking the matter seriously.
Ogunkambi said the school has reached out to the victim and her parents to provide support and other counselling services to help cope with the emotional and psychological impact of the incident.
