Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has shared a throwback video of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, kneeling to thank Wike after winning the 2023 governorship election.
The video, which recently resurfaced online, has sparked reactions amid the renewed political tension between both men.
In the clip, Governor Fubara is seen kneeling before Wike in appreciation shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him winner of the Rivers State governorship election.
At the time, Fubara was widely known as Wike’s anointed candidate, with the former governor playing a key role in his emergence.
Olayinka’s decision to release the video comes as the political relationship between Wike and Fubara continues to deteriorate.
