LG x meta

LG Electronics is strengthening its partnership with Meta Platforms to boost its efforts in extended reality (XR). The goal is to blend their strengths in products, content, services, and platforms to push innovation in customer experiences within the growing virtual realm.

Collaborating with Meta for XR Advancements

Today, LG’s top executives, including CEO William Cho and Home Entertainment Company President Park Hyoung-sei, met with Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg at LG Twin Towers in Seoul.

This meeting, part of Zuckerberg’s Asia tour, focused on business strategies and next-gen XR device development. CEO Cho showed interest in Meta’s technology demos, especially its large language models and potential for on-device AI integration.

LG aims to create a unique XR ecosystem by integrating Meta’s platform with its TV content and service capabilities. This collaboration promises synergies in developing next-gen XR devices, leveraging Meta’s technology and LG’s product quality.
