This follows Libya’s poor run in the first two rounds of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held in Morocco next year. Mediterranean Knights’ drew 1-1 with Rwanda in Tripoli, and the loss of its last match against Benin. Thie hastened the sacking of Micho, despite the fact that the team has two important matches on October 6 and 14 against Nigeria: the first leg in Uyo at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium and the second leg in Libya. According to sources close to the Libyan Football Federation, there is a strong tendency to sign a national coach to lead the Libyan team during the remaining qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations.
