Lil Durk is catching fresh heat after prosecutors accused the incarcerated rapper of hiding an Apple Watch and then of trying to destroy it to jam up an investigation.
According to court documents filed this week, federal prosecutors are seeking an anonymous jury for the upcoming trial in January, as they believe he may be tampering with witnesses testifying against him. They also believe he has been doing this with the use of his Apple Watch.
“In late August 2025, BOP officials seized an Apple Watch with cellular capability from a defendant. Even more troubling is Banks’ conduct after he was caught. Rather than accept responsibility for this violation, defendant allegedly obstructed the investigation by attempting to damage and/or destroy the communications device,” the docs read in part.

The rapper is accused of orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot targeting rapper and longtime opp, Quando Rondo, in 2022. Prosecutors claim he ordered members of his Only the Family (OTF) crew to carry out a hit that claimed the life of Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, who was sitting in a vehicle with Rondo at the time of the attack.
Durk has also been accused of making unauthorized three-way calls while in jail, which is strictly prohibited.
His trial is scheduled to kick off January 6, 2026.
