More details surrounding the hospitalization of rapper Lil Nas X have surfaced, and according to reports, the “Old Town Road” artist was arrested for assaulting a police officer.
Viral footage of the rapper out in the early hours of Thursday morning in the Studio City area on Ventura Boulevard circulated online, but according to public information officer Charles Miller, he was not cooperative when the cops tried to detain him.
“Upon arrival the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose and placed under arrest for battery on a police officer,” Miller said.

Lil Nas X rose to fame in 2019 but six years on, he has expressed his struggle to adjust to stardom.
“These last few years were pretty difficult for me,” he said in a post shared to X, formerly Twitter back in February. “They have been pretty difficult for me.” He continued, “I’m just now, like arriving to this place of feeling confidence in myself and what I’m doing. And I’m trying to make sure I put intention towards my music and my vision and the creativity of it all.”
In March, the rapper shocked fans when he revealed that he had hospitalized due to losing “control of the right side” of his face.
