Lil Wayne’s Toronto show has been postponed following the news that the rapper has fallen ill.
Weezy’s pulled out of his August 11 show at the last minute, and fans were notified by the venue.
“Due to unforeseen illness, Wayne’s Toronto show will be postponed. As his fans know, he loves putting on nothing short of the best performances for those who come out and he was so excited for this one,” a sign outside of the Budweiser Stage in Toronto.
“Please stay tuned for the new date coming soon. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced.”
His Tha Carter VI Tour kicks off in June and is slated to wrap in October.
Weezy’s tour will take him all over the country, including New York City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Austin, Orlando, and Memphis. He has also been touring with Cash Money in celebration of the group’s 30-year reunion.
The tour has been shrouded in controversy after Turk walked away following an alleged pay dispute. He is planning to sue Cash Money Records after being forcibly removed from the show.
