Ademola Lookman is on the verge of hitting another milestone for Atalanta, with the Nigerian forward just one goal away from reaching 50 strikes for the club, Footynaija.com reports.

As the Nerazzuri gear up for their showdown against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium later this evening, Lookman is set to join a select group of Atalanta greats to hit this mark.

The 27-year-old has been one of Gian Piero Gasperini’s most reliable players, delivering big performances in Serie A and Europe. Last season, he etched his name in history with a hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, becoming the first African to achieve such a feat in a major European final.

This achievement, coupled with his impressive form last year, saw him crowned African Best Player of the Year 2024.

As reported by Prima Treviglio, as Lookman aims for his 50th goal, he is set to join Atalanta’s top scorers in history, a list that includes Germán Denis (56 goals), Mario Pašalić (58), Papu Gómez (59), and others.

With 11 games left this season, he has a chance to move further up the club’s all-time list.

Atalanta’s next game is a huge clash against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium, a match that could be key in their top-four battle. Lookman missed the chance to reach 50 goals against Venezia, but he will now look to achieve it against one of the biggest clubs in Italy.

The forward has already proven himself in big moments, stepping up against Napoli and Real Madrid, and Gasperini will be counting on him once again.
