Nottingham Forest are pushing ahead with their plans to strengthen their attacking options, with the Premier League side reportedly in pursuit of Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, Footynaija.com reports.

Nottingham Forest have surprised many this season and remain in a strong position in the top half of the Premier League table.

The Tricky Trees are in a great position to secure a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Under the management of Nuno Espirito Santo, they currently sit third with 57 points on the log after 31 matches. And if they keep up their strong form, a top-four finish would send them to Europe’s biggest competition for the first time in years.

With Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina already part of the squad, the potential addition of Lookman would further bolster the club’s Nigerian connection.

Lookman has been in fine form for Atalanta throughout the 2024/25 campaign. The versatile forward played a key role in Atalanta’s recent victories, contributing with both goals and assists in their pursuit of European football.

His pace, sharp movement, and ability to unsettle defences have attracted interest from several clubs, with Nottingham Forest now among those monitoring his situation closely.

Reports suggest Forest are exploring the possibility of bringing Lookman back to England, as they look to reinforce their attacking depth ahead of the next campaign.

Sources have indicated that the Serie A side will demand at least £50 million for the 2024 CAF Player of the Year.

The move would see him reunited with other Super Eagles teammates Awoniyi and Aina, adding further dynamism to Forest’s wide and central attacking options.

Forest’s growing ambition and Lookman’s impressive displays make this one to watch as the summer window approaches.
