Taofeek Arapaja Submits Nomination Form For PDP National Secretary

The current Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Taofeek Arapaja, has submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the position of the party’s National Secretary.

Naijaonpoint reports that Arapaja submitted his forms on Monday at the PDP National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) Secretariat in Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja.

The former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, arrived at the secretariat amid cheers from supporters and party faithful, including loyalists from Oyo State and the South-West zone and submitted his forms to the administrative staff of NCOC.

Earlier reports indicate that Arapaja enjoys the support of Governor Seyi Makinde to eventually emerge as the PDP National Secretary, which follows the recent zoning decisions that have reshuffled the National Working Committee (NWC) positions.

Ahead of the November 15 and 16, 2025, elective National Convention of the PDP, a former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN), on Monday, submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman position.

According to earlier reports, Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a section of the National Working Committee (NWC) have picked Turaki as consensus national chairman ahead of the party’s elective convention.

In a related development former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, has expressed dissatisfaction over the failure to purchase a form to contest for the National Chairman position of the PDP.
