A male student lost his temper and savagely attacked his teacher after she refused to change his grade in a maths test.
The 17-year-old became infuriated when he scored 18 out of 20 on a midterm maths test in a private school in Thailand’s Uthai Thani province on August 5.
He approached the teacher and asked why he didn’t get a perfect score. She told him that although his answers were correct, he failed to show how he got the answers and therefore could not be awarded full marks.
The female maths teacher suggested the student asks other teachers about her marking process.
After consulting with other teachers and being told his teacher’s methods were correct, the young man came back into the classroom and asked his teacher to increase his grade despite being in the wrong.
She refused and the grade 11 student became agitated, kicked a desk and left the classroom.
Approximately 10 minutes later the student came back and demanded the teacher “apologise”.
The teacher responded: “Who should be apologising?”
The teenager then flew into a fit of rage and launched a series of wild right hooks at the defenceless teacher’s head.
The teacher got up and tried to push him away before making it three of four foot away.
The student charged at her again and landed a brutal front kick.
In total, the student ferociously struck the woman 17 times in front of 20 of her students.
She was rushed to hospital for treatment of broken ribs, a bruised left eye and swelling on her head.
She filed a reported to the police and is due to make a statement.
The student has been removed from the school and his parents made contact with the teacher to apologise.
