Man, 32, pleads guilty to unlawfully possessing motorcycle

An Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court in Ibadan, on Friday, ordered the remand of Morufu Kamilu, 32, standing trial over alleged unlawful possession of a Bajaj motorcycle.

An Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court in Ibadan, on Friday, ordered the remand of Morufu Kamilu, 32, standing trial over alleged unlawful possession of a Bajaj motorcycle.

Kamilu, whose address was not provided, was charged with unlawful possession of a motorcycle, to which he pleaded guilty.

The Magistrate, Mrs Kausarat Ayofe, therefore ordered that Kamilu be remanded at Agodi Correctional Centre, Ibadan.

She adjourned the case until Oct. 8, for review of facts and sentencing.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite, told the court that Kamilu allegedly committed the offence on Sept. 15, at 7.15 p.m, at Akinyele, Ibadan.

He said that the defendant  was found in unlawful possession of a motorcycle, whose owner is yet to be ascertained.

Adegbite said that the offence contravened Section 417(d) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000. (NAN)
