A man identified as Tesojue has allegedly beaten his teenage daughter into a state of unconsciousness at Odetoyinbo Street, behind Ayegbaju Market in Osogbo, Osun State.
This was contained in a statement issued by, the Executive Director of the World Institute for Peace, Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi on Friday and obtained by Amiloaded Correspondent.
According to the statement, the man also attacked the girl’s mother during the same violent episode.
World Institute for Peace confirmed that the matter has been formally lodged with the Nigeria Police Force, Osun State Command, for investigation and possible prosecution.
The organization stated that the suspect would not escape justice, emphasizing that his actions were criminal and must be punished under the law to deter similar acts of domestic violence.
The statement reads, “WHAT A WICKED FATHER !
“A teenage girl was brutally beaten into a state of unconsciousness by her own father, a man commonly known as TESOJUE, at Odetoyinbo Street, behind Ayegbaju Market in Osogbo.
“This horrifying incident was brought to our attention by concerned passersby who witnessed the girl fleeing from her violent father. We have also received credible information that he assaulted the girl’s mother during the same episode of violence.
“Our organization has immediately reported this case to the Nigeria Police Force, Osun State Command. We are confident that no matter how hard he tries to evade justice, he will be apprehended and made to face the full weight of the law. His actions are completely inexcusable and he must be held accountable to serve as a warning to others who may be inclined toward such cruelty.
