WATCH THE VIDEO HERE A KwaZulu-Natal man, Siphamandla Khumalo, has been found guilty of the premeditated murder of his ex-girlfriend, Nomfundo Msibi, 34, after fatally stabbing her at Gateway Mall in Umhlanga, Durban. The Durban High Court, led by Judge Jacqueline Henriques, ruled that Khumalo had clear intent to kill, as shown by CCTV footage capturing him stabbing Msibi 22 times. According to the indictment, Khumalo lured Msibi to the mall under false pretenses, preventing her from escaping. Witnesses, including the victim’s boyfriend and a police officer, testified against him, and an okapi knife was found lodged in Msibi’s body. Khumalo pleaded not guilty and declined to testify in his defense. The court has received a victim impact statement from Msibi’s family. His defense team is set to present arguments in the next hearing before sentencing.
