A Nigerian man who had been living abroad for five years made an unannounced return to the country after hearing rumors that his wife was pregnant for another man.
According to a Facebook post by Akagbobi Nkiru Angel, the man, who has been based in an unnamed Asian country, maintained regular communication with his wife and two children and claimed to have been sending them money consistently.
The situation took a turn when two individuals who visited Nigeria and later returned abroad informed him that they saw his wife heavily pregnant. Doubtful but concerned, he decided to return to Nigeria secretly to verify the claim.
Upon arrival, he told his wife he had sent a package through DHL and asked her to pick it up using a fake tracking number. He used this as an opportunity to visit the house while she was away.
To his shock, he confirmed that his wife was indeed pregnant. Without confronting her, he left the house quietly and checked into a nearby hotel.
The man has reportedly spent three days in the hotel, emotionally shattered. He has since refused to take his wife’s calls and has not spoken to his children.
