A Nigerian man identified as Onaimor Great has gone viral on social media for his unconventional display of gratitude following the birth of his first child after three years of waiting.
In videos posted on his Facebook page on Sunday, Onaimor was seen kneeling and rolling in a muddy puddle while repeatedly shouting “Thank you, Jesus” as onlookers watched and recorded the emotional scene.

The videos, which have since gained traction online, showed him drenched in mud but seemingly unbothered as he continued to praise God for what he described as a long-awaited miracle.
Sharing the clips on Facebook, Onaimor explained that the birth of his baby boy came as a special gift coinciding with his third wedding anniversary.
He wrote, “3 Years Wedding Anniversary Gift from God, the Miracle of Life.
“I’m overwhelmed with emotion as I reflect on our journey. The battle wasn’t easy, but God’s grace, mercy and love brought us through. My wife’s successful delivery of our baby boy is a testament to His goodness.”
He further stated that his actions were a spontaneous expression of faith and gratitude following a long and difficult journey to parenthood.
“You might not understand the videos where I transcended from the physical to the spiritual realm, giving thanks to God,” he wrote.
“Only those who’ve walked a similar path can relate. From conception to delivery, our journey was marked by faith, trust and God’s unwavering presence.
“When my wife gave birth, I was overcome with gratitude, rolling on the ground in thanksgiving, unmindful of the water around me. It was a moment of pure surrender to God’s love.”
Concluding his post, Onaimor expressed deep appreciation to God for blessing him with a family after years of waiting.
He wrote, “If you’re not close to me, you might not grasp the depth of God’s journey with us. Yet, His love has brought us this far. I’m grateful for the gift of life, love and family. Thank you, God, for Your faithfulness and love.”
His dramatic thanksgiving has since sparked conversations on Facebook with many congratulating him on the arrival of their baby.
In Nigeria, public displays of gratitude to God after major life events such as weddings, births, and healings are common, especially in Christian communities.
Rolling on the floor or kneeling in public is often seen as a physical sign of humility and surrender to God.
