Man United set to offload £36.5m signing just six months after, as Juventus eye January transfer

Manchester United’s Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee could be on his way out of Old Trafford as early as January, just six months after his £36.5 million ($47m) transfer from Bologna, Soccernet.football reports.

Zirkzee joined United last summer following a standout season in Serie A, where his performances helped Bologna secure a Champions League spot.

However, the Dutchman has struggled to replicate his Italian form in England, scoring just once and adding two assists in 17 appearances for the Red Devils this season.

Reports from Italy, particularly Tuttosport, suggest that United management is already considering cutting ties with the 23-year-old due to his underwhelming start.

The club had hoped Zirkzee would bring additional firepower to their frontline, but his struggles have reportedly prompted discussions about a potential departure.

Juventus have emerged as a possible destination, with the Bianconeri seeking reinforcements in attack following Arkadiusz Milik’s knee surgery in October.

A move to Turin could also reunite Zirkzee with his former Bologna manager, Thiago Motta, under whom he thrived in the Serie A.

Juventus are reportedly interested in reuniting the pair, believing Motta’s familiarity with the young forward could help him rediscover his best form.

As United look to turn a new chapter under recently appointed manager Ruben Amorim, the decision regarding Zirkzee’s future could be one of his first major calls.

United’s next match, against Ipswich Town on November 24, will kick off Amorim’s era at Old Trafford as he seeks to stabilise the squad and push for a stronger league position.
