Marcus Jordan, the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, has requested that the court postpone his trial date.

Jordan’s trial is currently set for June 23 in Orange County, but earlier this month, his attorney filed a motion for a continuance, seeking a new trial date approximately 60 days from June 2 to allow time to negotiate with prosecutors.

Jordan, the 34-year-old son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, was arrested in Florida on February 4 after police found his Lamborghini stuck on train tracks. He faces charges of DUI, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest following a failed traffic stop.

Court documents indicate that he refused a breathalyzer test and became uncooperative during the arrest proceedings.

The athlete‑turned‑entrepreneur is currently awaiting trial, with legal proceedings ongoing. The prosecution did not oppose the request, and the judge granted the motion, so the celebrity’s trial has been pushed back to September.

Three weeks ago, Jordan announced that he is now sober.

“40 days sober and counting,” the Instagram caption read.
