Marissa Springer is setting the record straight after a video of her kissing TikTok creator Desmond Scott went viral days after news of his divorce.
In a TikTok posted Jan. 18, the Houston-based model addressed the backlash head-on.
“I’m gonna get hate regardless if I post a video or not,” Marissa Springer said. “But I just wanted to clear my name.” She added firmly, “I’m not the one he cheated with.”

The video surfaced after Kristy Scott filed for divorce from Desmond Scott on Dec. 30, ending their 11-year marriage, listing infidelity as the reason for the split. Days later, TMZ shared footage of Desmond and Springer kissing at a Houston bar, fueling speculation online.
Springer said she had never met Desmond before that night. “When you meet someone at a club, you don’t interrogate them about their social media status,” she explained. “We were many drinks in. The vibes were there.” She also denied rumors that she had a boyfriend or that she asked Desmond to buy her a bottle.
“Moral of the story, nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors,” Springer said, adding that the harassment has gone too far. “It should never reach the extent of death threats to you or your family.”
Desmond has not addressed the video directly but acknowledged the divorce in an earlier Instagram post, writing, “I made choices that I am not proud of,” and asking for privacy as he and Kristy move forward separately.
