The ongoing crossover between Godzilla and the Marvel Universe is set to reach its most chaotic climax, with Marvel officially announcing Godzilla: Infinity Roar will rock the cosmos this February.
The announcement comes direct from New York Comic Con 2025, with the publisher confirming the King of the Monsters will head into the Marvel Cosmos as part of a five-issue series by Gerry Duggan, Javier Garrón, and Ig Guara. Check out the first cover art by Ken Lashley and plot synopsis below:
The combined forces of Earth’s mightiest heroes managed to spare Earth by exiling Godzilla off into space… but in doing so may have just heralded the end of the larger galaxy! As Knull, the god of the symbiotes fans the flames of Godzilla’s anger, a new campaign for galactic conquest begins with the King of the Monsters and the King in Black at the helm!
Will the cosmos be able to band together to stop the two juggernauts, or will a new era of death and destruction descend upon the cosmos? One thing’s for sure, from the Galactic Empire of Wakanda, Shi’ar Empires, Kree-Skrull space and beyond, no planet will be safe as Godzilla destroys the Marvel galaxy!
Godzilla is Joining Forces With Knull, The God of Symbiotes
Those following the escalating path of destruction Godzilla has left across the Marvel Universe won’t be surprised that, as a standalone miniseries, Godzilla will be teaming up with the King in Black himself. The Avengers have accidentally made Godzilla even more powerful thus far, but with Knull on the horizon, fans are told to “prepare for one of the most terrifying transformations in Godzilla history.”
The first official glimpse of Godzilla’s merging with Knull can be seen above, in the admittedly-terrifying variant cover art by Josemaria Casanovas. Of course, the question must be asked: what is Knull’s grand plan for this partnership? Based on the crossovers so far, a cosmic Godzilla will likely be too dangerous for even a Symbiote God to oppose.
Will Infinity Roar Be The ‘Big Finish’ To Marvel’s Epic Godzilla Crossover?
The new cosmic adventure reunites Gerry Duggan and Javier Garrón, recently leading the Godzilla Destroys The Marvel Universe series. With the scale of action already pitting the kaiju against Marvel’s best, it seems this new series may finally live up to that titular claim, putting the entire universe in jeopardy.
While the variant cover art by David Marquez (above) teases a collision between Godzilla and Silver Surfer, fans have already witnessed a Godzilla imbued with the Power Cosmic. Despite the cosmic maythem thus far, Writer Gerry Duggan teases the scale of the five-issue series an existential threat to all life in the universe:
“Most movie stars are a giant pain in the ass, but not Godzilla, who has been a privilege and a joy to collaborate with, and the fun will continue in outer space. And I can say the ideas that are in the mix now are going to make this the biggest, craziest and most dangerous Godzilla crossover ever. The Marvel Universe has never been in more peril! See you in space.”
Godzilla: Infinity Roar #1 will be released on February 4, 2026 from Marvel Comics.
