Masika Kalysha opened up about how she really feels following Fetty Wap’s early release from prison.
While Masika appeared to blast Fetty Wap on social media shortly after his release, including one post that read, “1st day out and still a b—h a– n—a,” she now tells TMZ that she has mixed feelings about it. “I honestly wish him peace and growth,” she shared, adding that she is glad he is home sooner than expected.
Masika explained that Fetty had made plans with their daughter while he was still incarcerated, plans that meant a lot to the child. When those expectations were not met, it led to disappointment. Masika declined to share details but made it clear that parenting follow through matters most to her.
The former Love & Hip Hop star says her focus is firmly on co parenting and what is best for their daughter. Although reconciliation is off the table, she hopes Fetty steps up. “I’m happy he’s home,” she said, “but don’t let her down.”
Fetty had nothing but kind words to say about Masika in his recent interview with The Breakfast Club.
“I appreciate her for making sure she making sure that my daughter knew that I love her. She didn’t she didn’t try to keep her away at this time. You know, during that time I was down,” he said. “Uh, you know, whenever I call for her, she let me talk to her. You know what I mean? I don’t got nothing bad to say about her, so whatever.”
